A very good friend of mine, Jason Gedvilas (see picture), stumbled across an old blog of mine. He asked why it has been so long since my latest blog. I can explain that in two words, that can be formed together into one word. Those two words are "GIRL" and "FRIEND". She is still very much in the artistic picture that is my life and will continue to be for a very long time. But, the blogging world needs me! So I am BACK!!!
So much has happened to me in the past 8 months since my latest blog entry on July 8th (the March 14th entry doesn't count in my mind), that I am having a hard time trying to decide what to write. I could write about how wonderful Adrienne Gedvilas is. I could write about the 8-2 record setting season the Cougar Football team had.
But I have decided to write about a something I witnessed n Sunday. I had the pleasure of going to Oak Park-River Forest High School to watch a co-ed indoor soccer game. This was the second time I was going to watch one of these games. The first game that I witnessed was a very friendly game that was one by Adrienne's team. The second game, this past Sunday, was not so friendly. I saw grown men kicking the back of the legs of females. I saw men trying to take out women and women trying to take out men. But the best part of the game, was when a certain unnamed teammate of Adrienne almost got into a more physical altercation with one of his competitors. Apparently some elbows had been thrown, some colorful language was used and the complexion of the two combatants definitely turned redder.
In the end, nothing exciting took place except for the win by the good guys. Everyone went home happy with only minor scrapes and bruises due to good old fashion fun!
